Easter’s Coming: Cool Gift Ideas for Everyone

Easter is nearly here, and if you’re like me, you’re on the hunt for the perfect gifts. This year, I’m particularly excited about making my teen son’s basket a bit more special.

The theme? “Fish like Jesus”—inspired by a shirt he fell in love with. After some good chats over what it means, that shirt has become a staple in his wardrobe. I’ve pulled together a bunch of related goodies that I think he—and maybe your teens too—will dig.

Here are a few of my suggestions and ideas , inspired by watching my son browse and add items to my Amazon cart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and texts he has sent to me asking me to buy this for him.

Summer Gear: Summer is quickly coming; swim trunks, flip-flops, and fun beach towels are great basket fillers that will help prepare your teen for summer adventures.

Faith Finds– Consider adding Christian decor, signs, and journals that reflect his faith and provide daily encouragement into his basket. Here are some that I have found.

Character Building: Adding a book that can challenge and inspire, whether they’re devotionals or stories of influential figures, can offer meaningful engagement for teens. Hopefully, they will support personal growth and values.

Athlete– Sport accessories are always a great add! This year, I am purchasing him both the large Nike Water bottle and the Polar water bottle that I have featured. The Polar water bottles are excellent, and I find they don’t leak. I am also adding in the fish hook accessories since he loves to fish.

Christian Attire: Adding a shirt or bracelet is another way to add to their basket. Apparel with positive messages, like “Fish like Jesus” shirts, can be a great way to express personal beliefs fashionably. I personally love the fish hat and hook bracelet. Here is the link to my son’s favorite shirt, “Fish like Jesus”. I highly recommend this shirt!

Tech Toys and Cool Gadgets: What teen doesn’t like getting new tech accessories? New headphones or quirky phone gadgets are usually a hit and can be practical gifts for any tech-savvy teen. Check out the banana Bluetooth and the TikTok ring. I think my son would get a kick out of the banana. I also love the idea of getting him a new alarm clock.

Hygiene Essentials: Spruce up their Easter with some essential grooming goodies. Include body washes with invigorating scents, gentle face wipes, and nourishing shampoos. You can also add in some stylish deodorants and flavored lip balms for daily use. These practical and refreshing items are perfect for keeping your teen feeling clean and confident.

Candy and Snacks: No Easter basket is complete without a classic chocolate Easter bunny. Alongside this festive staple, consider adding a selection of gourmet goodies tailored to their tastes. It’s a sweet way to personalize their basket with flavors they love.

Creative Easter Basket Ideas

Crafting a special Easter basket can make the holiday even more memorable. I’ve been using a cherished vintage wicker basket from my mother-in-law for each of my kids since their first Easter, decorating it with ribbons to add a personal touch. This has become a beloved tradition in our family.

Wrapping Up Your Teen’s Easter Basket

As we round out these Easter basket ideas, remember, it’s all about catering to their interests without going overboard. You don’t need to pick something from every category—just a few thoughtful items will make their day special. For my own son, his Easter basket will be a “fishing” theme with items that coordinate with his favorite shirt, and maybe the banana since it has caught my eye. Since creating this list, I know some of these items that I don’t purchase for Easter I will be getting for his birthday which is coming up in a two months.

When it comes to treats, we keep it simple but sweet: a classic chocolate Easter bunny or cross, a Reese’s carrot, some gum, and a can of Pringles are just enough to satisfy his sweet tooth without going bananas over candy.

For easy shopping, I’ve put together a shoppable link to all the items I’ve mentioned. Click here to shop the list and make your Easter basket prep a breeze!

Hope these ideas help you create an Easter basket that’s both fun and meaningful. Happy Easter!
